An amazing pet is waiting for you during Shelter Pets Rock event

What a busy summer it’s been at the Fort Worth Animal Shelter, with hundreds of pets waiting to be adopted into loving homes. July 28 is another opportunity to stop by and meet the incredible dogs and cats.

Each year the animal shelter takes in approximately 17,000 animals. The vast majority of these animals are strays that have no place to call home. This summer, the shelter has been strained and is working at capacity nearly every week. Be a hero and help a homeless pet find a forever home.

In partnership with PetSmart Charities, the Shelter Pets Rock event will be July 28 at four locations:

  • Chuck Silcox Animal Shelter, 4900 Martin St.
  • Fort Worth PetSmart stores: 4800 S.W. Loop 820 (I-20 at Hulen); 2901 Texas Sage Trail (I-35W at Heritage Trace Parkway); and 7616 Denton Highway in Watauga (cat adoptions only at this location).

Adoption fees for this weekend’s event are only $10. The adoption fee includes rabies vaccination, city license, micro-chip and altered (spay/neuter) services.
