Carroll Clay Team Captain Competes Nationally

 

Nicholas Godfrey competed in the 2017 World Skeet Championship at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio against over 700 shooters from around the world.

The top AAA and AA shooters were in attendance competing in the final and largest tournament of the year. Nicholas has been a member of the Carroll Clay Target Team for the past three years and October 2017 marked the conclusion of his second year participating at the national level. This was the 12th national tournament Nicholas participated in for 2017.

20 Gauge Event
Nicholas shot a perfect 100 out of 100, ranked 5th in class and 8th overall.

28 Gauge Event
Nicholas shot a 99 out of 100, ranked 12th in class and 15th overall.

410 Gauge Event
Nicholas shot a 99 out of 100, ranked 8th in class and 11th overall.

HOA Event (Total Overall Score)
Nicholas shot a 445 out of 450, ranked 11th in class and 14th overall

Nicholas will be competing with the Carroll Clay Target Team on November 11th when the entire Dragon team starts the 2017-2018 competition. The Dragons will be shooting a trap tournament at the Ft. Worth Trap and Skeet Club.
