City’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration to feature food, entertainment, crafts

The public is invited to join the Fort Worth City Employees’ annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration, set for 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct. 3 on the North End Plaza at City Hall, 200 Texas St.

Enjoy complimentary agua fresca and learn how to make colorful paper-tissue Mexican flowers while discovering the origin of the craft. Sample entries in the salsa cook-off and vote on the most flavorful and hottest entries.

Watch special performances from the Fort Worth Opera, storyteller Tammy Melody Gomez and flamenco dancers.

The event is a collaboration between the Hispanic Heritage Month Employee Committee and the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission.
