Southlake residents who use Precinct Line Road and Davis Boulevard, near Hurst and N. Richland Hills, will need to find an alternate route during construction scheduled for the new TEXrail project.
Beginning Tuesday, October 10 through Thursday, October 12, Precinct Line Road at the railroad crossing, will be closed in both directions, (*see map below), so workers can replace railroad tracks and railroad ties. The work will begin at 7:00 a.m. on October 10 and will end at 7:00 p.m. on October 12.
The following week, Davis Boulevard at the railroad crossing will be closed on Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 19 for similar construction work. Railroad tracks and railroad ties will also need to be replaced leading to the closure of Davis Blvd. in both directions from 7:00 a.m. on October 17 through 7:00 p.m. October 19.
The work is necessary as the new TEXrail projects rolls down the track for completion scheduled for December 2018. Once completed, TEXRail will have 24 trains in service each day from North Fort Worth to Grapevine and on into the DFW Airport.
Mobile traffic billboards will be going up to help notify travelers to find an alternate route.
