School Board Approves 2017 Carroll Bond Baseball and Softball Improvement Project

During a Special Meeting called on November 27, the Board of Trustees approved the contract recommendation for artificial turf installation and other related improvements at CSHS Softball/Baseball complex.

This facility improvement is a part of 2017 Bond Phase I of this complex. The cost of this project will not exceed $1,944,015 and will be paid through Bond funds approved in the 2017 Carroll Bond.

The project includes the installation of artificial turf at the softball and baseball fields. These improvements will lower the maintenance and operational costs for both of the athletic facilities. Also, this project will be able to alleviate some of the scheduling issues that have occurred in the past due to rainouts and other factors. Phase II of this improvement project will begin in the summer of 2018.

This 2017 Carroll Bond project continues to help the district achieve their goal of lowering the overall Carroll ISD operational cost.
