Senior Activity Center to Host Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Dress in your best 1920’s attire and get ready to be transported into a live-action version of the game Clue!

Join the Dunn Family on April 17 for the mafia wedding of the century! A fictional murder will take place during the party, and it’s up to guests to work together to solve the case. Anyone could be a suspect–even you!

By the end of the party, you’ll have the chance to guess who, how, and why the fictional killer committed the crime. Keep an eye out for hints about potential suspects and their motives throughout the evening to see if you can solve the mystery!

Radio Theater Live

Apex Arts League and OnStage in Bedford are pleased to announce “Radio Theater Live.”

The dinner theater will take place Thursday, January 30 at 7 p.m. at The Marq Southlake. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Seats will be assigned.

The theater will bring back the days when families sat around the radio. Historically, radio drama depended on dialogue, music and sound effects to
help the listener imagine the characters and story. With the addition of the finest local thespians on the stage, it is sure to entertain. Expect drama, intrigue, humor, cool sounds and old tim advertisements.

A full dining experience hinting to 1940s family dining with a contemporary twist will be provided by City Kitchen. Wine will be included.

Opus Nova is a new concert series in Fort Worth, founded by local clarinet pedagogue Dr. Ann Hung and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinet Stas Chernyshev. They perform Chamber music from all different time periods, including today.

Filled with intrigue and humor, “A Wedding to Die For” will be presented by the finest local thespians and is sure to entertain. A full dining experience will be provided by Scratch Kitchen.

The year is 1923, and the HMS Victoria sets sail across the English Channel. The famous Inspector Clurrot has tracked down a homicidal mastermind hiding out onboard. Meanwhile, the ship is the vessel of matrimony for the Contessa Follette and John D. Rothchild—a marriage encouraged through financial need and murderous greed. But not everything is as it seems, and it turns out that the English Channel isn’t the only thing being crossed. Audience members are recruited to stand in for the best man, bridesmaid, mother of the groom, and father of the bride in this Agatha Christie style comic mystery.

Taste of Apex: A Sampling of Theater, Music, Tastings and the Arts in Our Community

Join Apex Arts League for Taste of Apex, a celebration of the joy and vibrancy that the arts bring to our community.

New and existing Apex members are invited to The Marq Southlake for an evening of entertainment from arts organizations in Southlake and surrounding communities. Taste of Apex will feature a theater sampling from ONSTAGE in Bedford, a music sampling from the Carroll Jazz Orchestra and drinks and tastings from local restaurants.

Several Northeast Tarrant County arts organizations will also be sharing their arts activities, including Art in the Square, the Southlake Arts Council, Keller Arts, Arts Council Northeast and the Grapevine Arts Project.

Taste of Apex will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25 at Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake. Tickets can be purchased at www.apexartsleague.com.
